The 289 engine has been totally gone over from top to bottom. New seals, gaskets and internal engine parts were installed. Meticulously detailed engine bay includes all new wires, hoses, clamps nuts, bolts and fresh paint...right down to the factory correct decals. Many parts were either replaced, rebuilt, fabricated or bead blasted and painted. Not only does this car run great, but it looks amazing as well.

This 1964 1/2 Mustang underwent a total transformation

The interior has been completely redone right down to the steel floors. We applied a thick 70mm layer of heat and sound proof material to the inner structure of the body, installed new carpet, fresh new seats, painted steel interior panels, freshly chromed interior parts, new stainless trim screws, new wiring harness, headliner and new door panels. So if a fresh new interior is your next step on that project car, here at DoaneMotorWerks, we can provide you with the fit and finish you are dreaming about.

This 1964 1/2 Mustang 289 came to DoaneMotorWerks in need of a lot of repairs.

The engine didn't run well, and it had various leaks from the engine and transmission. This car went through a total transformation. New door hinges were installed, new interior, complete suspension, exhaust and drive line overhaul. The paint was freshened up, new door and trunk seals were installed as well as new tires. The trunk was also restored back to that factory look.

Here is a 1972 Moss Green (Metallic DB 834) 600 with a brilliant red interior that was totally restored. This 600 is known by Mercedes Benz as the Christmas Edition because of its elaborate color scheme. We took this 600 and started from the ground and worked our way up. Most of the time spent was on the undercarriage of this rare Mercedes 600 SWB. In addition to the new exhaust and suspension, we put a full carpet set into this car, freshened up the leather seats and rebuilt all the hydraulic window switches as well. The under hood was completely taken down and gone through. All the air suspension components were rebuilt. The AC system was completely replaced with all new hoses. All the clamps, nuts, bolts and fittings were removed, bead blasted and re plated back to factory specs. New belts, water hoses, fuel and air hoses were also installed. This is one beautiful 600 SWB...and it shows.

Here we have another Mercedes Benz 600 SWB in DB 920 that came to us in need of just about everything. The car had been sitting for several decades, and many parts were simply missing. The most concerning issue found with the car was the braking system. The right front caliper literally had no brake pads in it and was stopping the rotor with the caliper pistons. Strange but true; just when you think you've seen it all right!

Anyway, we took the car totally apart, cleaned it from top to bottom, and straightened out the lower belly pan that was damaged from being dragged about for years from place to place. We painted the front and rear sections of the car, restored the drive line and suspension system and began to work on the remaining mechanical parts: removing them, rebuilding them and making them new again. The car took nearly a year to bring it back to life, but now our customer can drive and enjoy his Mercedes.

This Mercedes came to us in great overall condition with the green light to make it near perfect in every way. The customer not only wanted it to look the part, but also wanted it reliable, tight and fun to drive.

We went threw every square inch of this beauty. Took it all down, blasted, cleaned, polished, plated, painted and rebuilt virtually everything. It was necessary to totally rebuild all the brakes, brake booster and master cylinder. The entire under body was painted, new exhaust, tires and fresh new interior. The front glass and seal was removed prior to paint, and replaced with new. There were a few alterations to the factory original, including: the carburetors, battery hold down and windscreen washer bag hanger. But overall, we stuck to a fine line and budget to make this 1957 Mercedes Benz 190 SL 121not only a showstopper, but an absolute joy to drive.

Here is a beautifully restored M109 Mercedes Benz in DB 834 with Cognac leather interior. It was totally taken down and rebuilt. The transmission was removed and rebuilt because the pump seal leaked, causing the torque converter to back fill and overflow. This is a common problem with many older classic Mercedes transmissions. All the major components were removed and rebuilt. The engine and transmission mounts were replaced to get this beast back in line. All the original clamps, bolts, fittings and screws were bead blasted and cadmium plated back to factory original. All new water, fuel and air hoses were installed. After we had the car running and driving the way it was intended to, we shifted gears and moved to the interior.

The wood was all removed and redone. The carpet was removed and replaced with new and the seats, front and rear are completely new from the springs up. We installed new tires and took this incredible car out for a test drive....Awesome!

1972 Mercedes 600 SWB in Papyrus white with Cognac interior. It came to me with basically an unlimited budget. After nearly a year it was finally completed....ended up winning its class at Amelia Island 2011. Truly an amazing car.

Engine bay of the white 600 SWB.
All the ignition wires are handmade. I use green heat shrink just like the originals. The rest of the engine was completely rebuilt, painted, plated, polished and detailed out to perfection. The only true deviation from original is that we use new modern belts that are far superior than old stock original Continental belts. This was a decision we all made, and doesn't seem to detract from the true beauty and reliability we are looking to achieve !
